On Wednesday night for St. Patrick's Day the bride Colleen went out for dinner with cousin Maureen and some other girls at the Milleridge Inn over at Jericho. Maureen was our maid of honor back in 1973. Colleen ordered an enormous piece of prime rib and took home a doggy bag.
I got the apple strudel with the raisins and pecans but tonight the cats outside caught a lot of prime rib all diced up. Nasty Mom, her daughter Ginger and her grandchildren Catty Patty, Garfield and Bosco all caught a great dinner of prime rib along with the kibble and platters of 9Lives and Friskies wet cat food. Newcomer Midnight was also present and hungry and he was allowed to eat with the "colony" of feral cats.
Most of the cats outside have gotten through this past winter carrying some good "bulk" and appear to be healthy. Sad Face and Tuxedo are gone for this new season of spring but I'm devoted to the cats that are still here.
Just doing what Wooley mentioned some years back - "making a tough life a little less miserable".
