I was the owner of this enormous female rottweiler mix for more than 15 years. Sandy would eat just about anything except peas. You could give her a gallon of beef stew and you would find afterwards a dry bowl with 62 little peas in it. The dog would spit them out. Ask 1/8 Pole - we were amazed.

Anyway, the cat is weird. She eats when she wants and how much she wants. If you put out something she doesn't like she walks away.

But Mittens goes nuts over fish. It's a gobble deal with fish.

Yup, Mittens had another double helping of catfood made from fish this morning and a bowl of milk. Now she's looking for a place to nap.

Cats have definate preferences as you are finding out! And cats cannot be cajoled into doing anything but what they want to do.
I too have owned both dogs,( black labs) and cats...1/2 housecat domesticus and pure bred siamese. The mom cat, the siamese, jumped out an open window had 3 kittens ...all had Siamese points except they were black/white/grey /white and beige/ white!
Two lived to be 15 yrs and 16 yrs.

You'll appreciate the cat IF you don't compare the cat to your dog...like comparing men and women!

The bride thinks the cat is picking up some bad habits from me.
