As a dog man all my life I was confused about the attachment but I think I understand now.

It's not the green eyes like my wife has. It's not the gentle disposition. It's not the way she rubs up against me or the way she twitches, farts and wiggles her tail while she is asleep.

It's the cute tiny pink lips and nose and the brown fur behind one of her ears!

I was so weak in the brain to not recognize this early on.
