I just changed the litter in the Mister Mittens' litter box and scrubbed it thoroughly. The job is just a single step up from picking up dead folks who have maggots on them and are missing pieces.

In truth, it was a piece of cake - cats are extremely clean animals. Just keep scooping the clumped "cat cakes" and everybody stays happy.

Mister Mittens was so happy to see a scrubbed litter box - she spent extra time in it just to crap out some extra cat turds while meowing to the ceiling with joy.

On a serious note, cats are some fine clean animals. The kittens groom one another as littermates.

Instead of fulfilling my destiny as a commmon street drunk in the gutter and part-time bus flasher I now find myself clipping cat food coupons, hunting the stores for cat food sales, and scooping "cat cakes" out of litter boxes several times a day. Life doesn't always play out the way you had it planned.

In the days of the Great Plague guys in London would make the rounds with wagons and yell out, "Bring out your dead!!"

I make the rounds of the litter boxes with a bag and a scoop while yelling out, "Bring out your cat cakes!!"

Similar jobs, no?
