Father's Day was the old man's 95th birthday if he was still around.

Shot to pieces in Italy in 1943 and then again in 1944 it wasn't until 1949 that my mother made him apply for a G.I. disability pension. He got it and never thought about it because he had his job back with the Edison company (Con Edison) at an OK wage. Those wages got us a new house in Hempstead, Long Island in 1953 on the G.I. Bill. The mortgage payment was $68 a month back then, taxes included, on a new home.

Things used to better before the Obamanation. Government wasn't on you 24/7 and people had control of their lives. The handout was not the way to go and people humped and hauled for what they had.

Rant over but deep down in your panties and/or boxer shorts you know that I am right.

Ill stipulate that something has gone wrong during the past 30 years, but that type of destruction requires cooperation. to be fair, everyone has blood on their hands, regardless of their alleged political affiliation.

Fathers day is best with no politics. Cheers everyone.
