 So Brett Favre was caught being naughty - will it upset his psyche? Not as much as it's upsetting his wife. Good 'ol boys usually toss these things aside, but if I were a Vikings fan, I'd be more worried about Brett's supposedly ailing elbow.

Even with a Favre who is 100% healthy and guilt-free + Randy Moss - the Jets are a superior team. They also acquired a Super Bowl receiver - Santonio Holmes - off the bad-boy suspension list. He doesn't give a crap about the stain on his record, but in the National Felon League, results are all that count. The fans look the other way.

This is the year of the New York Jets. Been a long time coming, but Jets fans will finally see the promised land. Sanchez is that good.

Possible thunderstorms arriving by game time, following a totally sunny weekend. Hope not.....the forecasters love to bum people out, but erratic weather may be rolling in from evil Pennsylvania. Let's hope it bypasses the Meadowlands.

:!: I only bet on horses.

A wise bookie advised me years ago, pulling me aside at the local park and considering getting a bet down on an upcoming football game: "Kid, don't bet on humans".

That is funny, most bookies are a lot smarter than people give them credit for.
