I think the Same Old Jets "SOJ" was laid to rest after the disgusting loss to Atlanta. The one where Rex declared the Jets were finished. The Jets are winning games that the SOJ's would have lost. Starting with the regular season game at Indy. The win at San Diego is one the SOJ's would have lost. The Miami, Minnesota, and Denver wins this year were games the SOJ would have lost.

As a NY Titan fan from the Polo Grounds and as Jet fan from the AFL I'm liking them now again big time.
My heart hasn't been broken since game #1.
My son 1/8 Pole bleeds green when punctured.

The worst I ever saw was Mark Gastineau dancing the Jets away from more playoff action VS Cleveland some years back after a sack.

Namath to Berry, Namath to Maynard. Namath to #87 Pete Lammons.

It was the '68 Jets who won the '69 Super Bowl. They had to first get past the Daryl Lamonica/Fred Biletnikoff/Big Ben Raiders in the AFC Championship game - and that was quite a task. They were battle-hardened when they met the Colts. Now, finally, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Long time comin'. Oh joy, oh rapture!

In the Super Bowl I was thrilled when old #24 Johnny Sample (a former Colt) grabbed an interception in the end zone.
And old Jim Turner was kicking the field goals from straightaway.
That was 41 years ago and I was 21. I think Fireman Ed was a Giant fan then and just starting to stop wearing his mother's underwear.
No way you can go back but it's nice to stay with a team for a long time. The Jets are cranking me well in 2010 - I love them except for the guys that get arrested. I didn't see that years ago.

That was SOJ at it's finest, The Bill Simpson interception was the first dagger. The Mud Bowl is a catastrophe which I will never forgive the Dolphins and Don Shula. The 10 and 1 start which ended in Cleveland. The blown loss against the Eaglex in 93 when I left Giants Stadium screaming I can't take being a Jets fan anymore. Up 10 to 0 in Denver in 98. It is different now. I saw the Jets were not on top of their game from the start. I just had a good feeling through the game that the Jets were going to win the damn game. They came from behind to tie it at 17 and lost the lead. They marched down the field and got the job done. SOJ would have lost this game.

Now Jetblue is jumping on the Jets bandwagon. They should have changed the name to Jetgreen, at least for this plane.
