Disappointed I didn't make it on Saturday, I had a plumbing problem, oops not me but my house and after the plumber cut away 3 feet of cast iron pipe, my dough was gone...however I consoled myself the next day after and drove for 2 hours down to Belmar NJ, by myself, at 4:00 am to go fishing...I caught alot of sea bass, all of which had to be released back to their domain since the season resumes on November 1st..I even caught a 17 inch fluke (undersized and out of season) which was released..I was fishing for porgies, one guy felt sorry for me and dropped a couple in my bucket because I kept catching out of season fish..at the end of the trip the captain gave me a hug and said he was proud of me (why I do not know). Came home with 15 porgies, I cleaned 2 that night and had a fine meal..

I miss fishing, Mama. The great cash-grab state of New York now wants to license me to dip a line in the ocean and I won't do it.

Oddly I was on pier 61 in Galveston today. Just sort of sightseeing, but it was nice to see the anglers having fun.
