My ballot got cast prior to 6:30 a.m. and I was in tough shape.

Voted at 630AM...... Only one thing to say..."The Rent is Too Damn High"!  one local ballot initiative got my YES vote and was the reason I went....to decrease the number of representatives in our county legislature, which some tried to keep off the ballot. Go figure.

6:30 AM? 4 out of 7 here voted at the same time! Were they giving out free gifts or ticket vouchers at the NYC polling sites?
True Story... I got to the poll about 6 PM. There's an Indian gentleman coming out as I was going in. I didn't reccognize him, but he looked directly at me so I said hello and smiled. He shook my hand and asked me if I wanted to hear a funny story. "Sure" I said. He says, "I tried to vote last Tues. but the doors were locked. I thought voting day was last week. A janitor opened the door and told me it was NEXT week!" I told him he must have been the 1st person to show up at a polling place in the nation. We both smiled and went our seperate ways.

Do strangers talk to one another like this in NYC?
