The bride is asleep this evening and I have almost given up on the ponies. I tried to go to bed with my lawful wife (37 years with the Catholic Church and the State of New York).

There are three cats snuggled up to her side while she sleeps and they have made it clear I am not welcome into my wife's bed. Home from work my wife filled them up with tuna, turkey, chicken, and salmon.

I had no chance with nothing for nobody. I should have known better as an old veteran with the food handouts.

Typical cats!

They love you Q/P, but after a few months on earth with the "poles", they know who is  "the boss"

Wooley, the cats have brought great joy to my home. The bride could crash her car and would gallop across 9 lanes of traffic to help out a wounded squirrel. Her love for animals has made me stop thinking about shooting her.

Colleen's love for the cats has me flipped. She's a born-and-bred dog girl from early on in her life. I got orders to let only one kitten stay with Mister Mittens and that was her son Trouble. When I made a case for the little runt girl Shiloh to stay she balked. And then she folded - "OK, we're going to have three cats but only if Shiloh goes to an all-girls Catholic High School like I did."

I agreed immediately.

No regrets - all of the cats are on their way to be vaccinated and neutered. Their shots are on schedule and the surgery to take care of the girls is on tap. Trouble is going to lose his BBs and that's OK. Dr. Wallach is working with me with the cash to keep on a schedule with my SS checks and that's wonderful - he's in practice for more than 30 years in my neighborhood and runs an "animal trauma center" and does very complex surgery with a lot of creatures.

Dr. Wallach told me that the markings, the stripes, and the "tiger bands" on Trouble are absolutely gorgeous and symmetrical but as a "tabby domestic short hair" it was just the luck of a genetic crapshoot.
