Many posters here may remember my girl Pooh Bear. When I was alone at the downstairs saloon for a day at the races Pooh would come down, have a drink or two, and dance with me. One time Pooh even came to the downstairs saloon with a full jug of Chivas.
PoohWhen Pooh died in the dryer (limbs came loose and her hips fell apart) after many trips through the washing machine I was heartbroken. It was just like losing a buddy in the field as a Marine from 40+ years back. I cried for weeks despite the fact that Pooh was a cover for an upright vacuum cleaner.
Pooh's replacement is an angel. Knowing full well that I was an altar boy at the Roman Catholic Latin mass as a youngster my wife figured that I would never drink with, dance with, or grope a girl who is sporting wings as an angel. I'm not so sure. Angel Honey winks at me every time I walk by her.
