The frost and today's snow garbage have officially killed off the last tomato plant. I took this photo from upstairs this afternoon and it's no big deal especially when compared to the folks getting slammed north and west of Long Island today. But this is strange for October when outdoor cookouts are still common. My neck of the woods dodged a bullet today. It's warmed all the way up to 36 degrees when temps in the mid-fifties are the norm.

I jumped the gun. The weather wankers on the Weather Channel and the locals are now saying Long Island could get 6 inches of snow overnight tonight.
That'd piss me off - I have a hot date with the Muffin Lady in the Shoprite bakery tomorrow morning set for 6:30 a.m. That gal makes the best corn muffins I've ever had and the blueberry jobs are spectacular as well. She'll be upset if I'm not there to grab her warm muffins.

I woke up Sunday to a snowy, slushy car but clear streets. West Millford, New Jersey shecked in with 19.5 inches of snow last night.
