My grandchildren were a delight throughout the Thanksgiving holiday but the cats were frightened and leery of strangers and mostly remained up at the top of the house where they felt safe. Today the kids flew home and the cats were all over the house instead of just lurking around at night in the dark when everybody was asleep.

Anyway my dear wife has been a hostess and stressed-out Thanksgiving cook for a large group of relatives recently and the cats have missed being with her. Up early this morning for driving duties to the NY airports the bride left her lap comforter and bathrobe on the sofa in the living room.
