While going down the commode during the latter races at Philly today I noticed that the youngsters had woken up on the Castro up in the man cave. They were close to one another but both cats were on a cleaning mission.

Sweet Babycakes was licking her chest and belly like it was life and death. A dog can sleep all day while covered with mud but a cat is never happy without proper grooming.



The huge tomcat Trouble had a front leg laid out and he was licking it like it had just come out of a tar pit.



Your head goes sideways when you learn that a cat never gets dirty or wants to be that way. This morning Sweet Babycakes was scrunched in a tight ball sound asleep while her mother sat behind her and licked her from the back of her head all the way down to her tail. Little Shiloh never woke up and her mother never stopped licking.
