Oh, she's still a bit feral and wild but I go out of my way to be gentle with Mister Mittens. Sometimes when she flops onto my lap in the recliner I lay down my book to rub her gently underneath her chin. She sighs and closes her eyes and then I pet her head, ears, and work her shoulders until she spreads out and falls asleep on me. Tonight she is my bed before I get there:
Around 5 a.m. I am certain that this young female cat will nudge and head butt my face gently with a cold wet nose for food. After a minute or two I am certain that the cat will poke me in the face with soft pink front paws (claws in) to get me out of bed. At 5:20 the claws will be out and she'll be hissing and snarling but by then I will be in the bathroom peeing and moaning while she sits happily and patiently next to her feed dish in the kitchen. She knows that a good breakfast always comes after the old man pees and screams.
