I didn't see any possum tracks in the snow. She's either shacked up, moved on to better digs, or staying home.

I remember those days in the great northeast. Even the pictures give me chills, and a backache.

At the age of 17 I dug a 6-foot hole at Parris Island and then was ordered by a Marine D.I. to fill it in and move the hole 10 feet.

Publius, this thread was for the "old blizzard" from earlier this month. Today's horror is at Off Topic.

Where was all that snow? I cried today with a single foot in the middle of Nassau County, NY.

I measured 19 inches at 11pm last night and that was before I went out to clear the driveway. The pictures of me shovelling with the kids were taken this morning with an additional 6 inches on the driveway. We got over 2 feet of snow and it was a wet heavy snow. My snowblower crapped out yesterday afternoon. I ended up shovelling the rest off the driveway and I still have to get the back deck cleared. Then when I'm done with that I have to clear off along the road by the mail box and going out until I reach the storm drain.

I dug out the driveway earlier today and then went back inside to catch a break and come back to life. My sidewalk and front walk path to the front stoop and mailbox were still under a foot of snow. My letter carrier made a detour and dropped the mail through the side door. He didn't have to do that and I just wished I was younger and faster with the shoveling.

I just cleared off most of the snow off the back deck and pulled some hanging snow that built up on the roof. I'm exhausted and I'm about to camp out of the recliner and watch NUMB3RS for the next few hours. I was capping Saturday's Magna 5 and Gulfstream but I'm too tired to analyze horses now.
