I was going through some old photos today. The small momcat Mister Mittens was in a good home (mine) with great food while nursing four kittens (three huge males). They drained her into exhaustion every day and almost nothing in size but Mom Nature had her programmed to provide for her young and despite being a kitten herself she did it with great love as a mother.

I remember snapping this photo after four kittens had been pawing and clawing at her for milk for hours. This female cat was a kitten too. Her kittens were almost weaned and she never complained but in this snap I can remember how she was giving up her body so that her kittens cold grow theirs:
