This photo was taken early on the morning of 4/21 in Uniondale, NY and that's the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, home ice of the Islanders, framed by the rainbow.

Beaten during OT on Rainbow Day. At home.
Not every race or story or game has a wonderful ending.

Now if only they could score a PPG, they'd probably be up 3-1 instead of tied 2-2

Trashed 5 to 1 in the pivotal game five. A one-zip lead at Washington collapsed like Great-aunt Maggie did in 1945 when she found out that the Japs had surrendered and that her credit at the liquor store had been cut off on the same day.
