I laid out some bowls of warm water (cats will not eat snow - they will not lower their core temperature in winter with ice and snow when thirsty, unless desperate for water). I also laid out a huge bowl of kibble and three platters of warm & wet premium cat food.

And then I brought out the huge stainless steel "Great Dane" feed dish all loaded up with cans of Bumble Bee tuna and Chicken-of-the-Sea sardines (both packed in water).

Nasty Mom (nobody wants to eat with her but she's a survivor) is at a platter in the upper left and two platters to the right is her granddaughter Catty Patty. At the stainless steel "Great Dane" feed dish starting with the black gentle tom Tuxedo and going clockwise is Bristol, Ginger, Margo and Bosco.

"Nasty Mom" appears to be related to Shiloh and her mom...same markings and color.

Interesting that the felines around the "Great Dane" share a meal peacefully...they haven't had to scramble for food like "Nasty Mom"

What do you think happened to Emily? :(

I have no idea what happened to Emily but she was bunking down the block and I think it possible that somebody took her in as a sweet gentle cat. She was an outside cat but had me for pettings and play and food for almost three years so she wasn't a true feral. She had a litter away from my property and from that crew the Orange Bosco kitten showed up one day and he never left. He bunks in a cat cando with Catty Patty and sometimes Tuxedo. I'm hoping Emily is a house cat now.

The ferals didn't catch good feedings during Tuesday's storm but I did get some food out to them in the evening. They laid up all day in the cat condos and in my garage. Wednesday morning I saw them all (sunny and 19 degrees) and laid out warm water, lots of platters of wet food and doubled-up on the tuna and sardines. Nasty Mom and the huge tom Sad Face were here for a feed as well. The big Sad Face just sits on the sidelines to watch everybody eat and then comes in to eat the leftovers. He's a sweet huge beast and lets me pet him and give him a back rub which very few feral cats will allow. He understands that when I'm outside with him I'm there to help him and never hurt him.
