Inside my home the momcat Mister Mittens (the feral feline kitten mother I took off the street in 2010) seems to be in a good spot up in the man cave to weather the storm well. In that same bed this morning just before dawn she pushed her face into mine to wake me up for her breakfast. When I woke up she gently ran her right front across my face (claws in). All I felt across my face were her soft pink paw pads. She didn't want to hurt me, she wanted her breakfast.
She got a great breakfast. She even let me pee before I served the great breakfast. She was sitting next to her feed dish as gentle as can be while her human flunky peed and moaned. I thought the Marine Corps had trained me well when I was 17 but I'm learning something new about training now that I'm an old fart pushing 70. House cats that share their territory in a good home with humans have the ability to train their humans well.
