This cat is built like a tank and has a lot of girlfriends - he's close to 20 pounds with a huge head and a bulky compact body. He's been wounded in some cat fights and he does not live out back. This is a wild animal.

So why is he posing for me? Well, some years back when he was young I pulled him out of a snow drift, dried him off, got him warm and loaded him up with food before sending him off on his way. He shows up now and again and I always lay out food for him. Sad Face will walk up to me and allow me to pet him and rub his back but he's a wild animal that understands that I mean him no harm. I have never seen a fang or a claw or heard a hiss when I had my hands on or close to Sad Face.

Sad Face has been known to calmly sit on the side steps of my home while hoping that I bring out a good meal for him. And I do.

Good name. He does look sad. He could be Trouble's "relative". Same coloring and body size...except Trouble is a "rich kid" with a "inheritance" ;) and Sad face has to duke it out on the street :(
NO doubt, :) :) :) you have helped his health with decent food sans bugs and other toxic stuff when he has to forage both food and water.
