The momcat Mister Mittens was laid up in my old ratty bed upon a BO-infested sweatshirt from last year when her tiny no-chance-for-life runt kitten Shiloh showed up. The tiny Shiloh had no chance to live with three huge males plowed into the belly of a small mother for milk but that was in 2010 when I took them all in.

Female cats have no desire to be acquainted with siblings or kittens after a birth. The momcat Mister Mittens is slapping the left side of her daughter's head with licks for grooming in this photo. No street, no longer feral - Mom Nature allows cats to bond:

You only have one Mom...cats included And the Mom cat continues to "baby" her baby!

My sister had a Mom cat and her female kitten. Problem... the kitten never advanced past the kitten stage, She always hovered around her Mom. Was so shy
retiring and skittish her name was "Shadow". A loud noise would send the kitten,Shadow, under the bed for "week".
No kids or other pets around either
