I had laid out three platters of premium wet cat food, fresh water and kibble. The cats were eating happily in warm weather.
And that's when I brought out the stainless steel "Great Dane" feed dish all loaded up with chunks of ham, sardines and a couple of cans of Bumble Bee tuna. One look at me and a sniff to the wind and the cats left the "cat food" like I used to leave the rail at Aqueduct broke.
Meanwhile, just behind me and down the driveway the street tom Sad Face, Nasty Mom and the radiant Margo are well-fed and plan to be along once I get inside the house. I feed them and they know I feed them no matter the weather or time. They know I have been known to lay out cat food in the dark during a snowstorm and today it's been sunshine and in the 70s.
