I laid out some good platters of premium cat food Wednesday evening. Everybody caught a happy belly. Hungry feral cats share food out of a dish or platter with cats that they know and live with. And they do not gorge themselves if they know that steady food is available.

The shy Bristol adores tuna but especially loves sardines. So a horse or two at Aqueduct today bought her a private platter of sardines.

The problem is this: if one spoils feral cats with premium human food the cats start to give the middle-claw to premium cat food and wait around for tuna, sardines, ham, steak, prime rib, roast beef and a Perdue oven stuffer chicken with a side of mashed potatoes.

I do the best I can for them because deep down in my grungy old drawers I love them all, even Nasty Mom.
