On the left is "Sweet Babycakes", the 7-year-old runt kitten named Shiloh, that nobody wants to adopt. On the right is her mother Mister Mittens off the street - no doubt the smartest, most bestest and brightest female feline cat beast I will ever meet.

"Mother" used to gallop to get out an open door when she was one or two or three years of age. Now? The momcat understands that she's got human flunkies that provide her with warm beds in winter and cool beds during summer. She catches treats and brushings. A male human old-fart Marine has been known to flop a comforter over her in the dead of winter when she plops herself next to him in bed and the heat is way-down low.

I may be stuck with her.

Of course, "Queenie" is "hogging the ""throw" and it looks like a pillow beneath while Shiloh looks at  Mom"
