The momcat Mister Mittens was flopped upon my bed while I was dorking around with the upstate races on Friday afternoon. She's my good bunky on a lot of nights so I just let her sleep off a great lunch that got into her after a great breakfast that I fed her at dawn.
Mid-afternoon the huge tomcat Trouble came galloping up the stairs to get into the scruffy man cave with his tail straight up, raced by my desk and let out a strange cat scream. He leaped into my bed and landed right by his mother. He flopped. His mother Mister Mittens embraced her 7-year-old son and then began to groom her son's neck, head and shoulders - all the places he can't reach with his tongue. Cats are strange creatures.
