The momcat Mister Mittens used to be drained almost dry by her three male kittens while the runt female couldn't get to a nipple but once inside my house Mom would feed her boys and let them sleep. Then, she'd get up exhausted and scrawny and pick up her runt female kitten by the scruff and lay into a corner of the living room and pull the runt into her belly with her front paws for milk. Helluva momcat is Mister Mittens. Shiloh stayed alive only because her mother would not let her die.

Seven years and four months later? I still can't get the runt kitten adopted but her mother still spends time with her. Like I wrote - helluva mother is the momcat Mister Mittens.
