I've stumbled trough thigh-deep snow at my house when venturing outside so today's snowfall is no big deal. After the getaway at Aqueduct I went out to gather the morning's water bowl and feed platters to warm them up with good food for the cats out back.
Mom Nature has the temps at chilly but the streets and concrete have held some warmth to melt a lot of snow that has fallen and make old snow humpers like me happy. It's still snowing but I was able to lay out lots of heated cat food and water. And yes, the garage and "cat flap" door are working well in providing good shelter and beds for the cats that I cannot take in.
Anybody in for warm cans of tuna and sardines doused in warm water? Yes indeed. And no matter how much snow falls later tonight these cats will have great warm and dry beds tonight away from wind and the snow.
