I had just crushed the Aqueduct card to lay a few Washingtons into my pony account so, as a man of means, I gave my wife $6 and knocked down my personal debt to her to an even forty bucks.
I went outside then and saw that the water bowl for the cats was almost frozen and that the kibble bowl was empty. I laid out warm water and a load of kibble and then went back into the house to prepare some platters of premium wet cat food and load up the stainless steel "Great Dane" feed dish with cans of tuna, sardines and warm water. Notice how clear the driveway is. I was on it this morning to clear away the two feet of snow that fell last night with my new monster Yardmax snow blower. Well, it was more like two inches but I needed some OJT with the new machine.
Top right next to the sweet black tom Tuxedo is Catty Patty. I was thrilled that she got by her first winter last spring as a small adolescent kitten but she was scrawny and small. After being spayed she spent the warm months eating well and filling out nicely. She's got some meat on her for this winter and her "belly bag" (all cats have them) down low near her groin is plump with long fur for fat storage. She's a sweet beast and bunks with her brother Bosco who's top left here.
