It was 9 degrees with nasty winds when I got out to warm up up the car and try to feed some cats. I had to shovel out the front steps for the postman. When I got out the roads were horrible - New Yorkers pay the highest taxes and get the finger for services. Hey, the power stayed on and we're in good shape. I figure the 3 to 4 inches in the forecast turned into about fifteen easy.

And the Town of Hempstead stunk with the plowing - two days later the streets are still a horror.
