She used to live here and had both Emily and Ginger as kittens a few years back. She was a great mother out back before the days of cat condos and a garage for shelter but she never let me get near her although she was A-OK with the food I laid out. She lives across the street and maybe over a fence now but she shows up for meals and I feed her. I even got her trapped for the TNR deal. She was nasty with hisses and snarls whenever a cat came to the platter where she was eating. I used to chase her out of here.
Today? She has mellowed a tad and I speak gently to her. She doesn't trot away far when I bring out cat food and she's OK with sharing food with other cats.
Tonight she was eating well and licking her chops when I came up close to snap a photo. Off to the right is her grandson Tuxedo.
