I was bringing out three platters loaded up with good cat food after the Belmont getaway when I nudged the screen door open with my shoulder. The house tom Trouble was at my feet. My buddy Tuxedo trotted up the side steps with his tail up to "smooch" noses with Trouble. And then did so Garfield. Big house cat and two younger "outside cats" - not one sign of aggression but signs of acceptance.

Great good eats were had by all. Garfield and Tuxedo were into that stainless steel "Great Dane" feed dish for a load of canned chicken and sardines. Nasty Mom is on the left. She's still feral and lives across the street somewhere but she doesn't gallop away anymore when I bring out food and she shares a platter of food without hissing now. A few days ago I rolled into the driveway after my 6 a.m. voyage to ShopRite and she was sitting up the driveway looking for a breakfast. She was about ten feet away from my side door and when I got there I spoke to her gently about some good food coming as she stared at me. She's not ever going to be anybody's pet cat but I got her into TNR last May and she's never going to die as a raped street cat looking for food with loads of kittens in her wake.
