The cats out back had eaten well from early in the morning and a bunch of them slept the afternoon away with full bellies in the garage or behind the house tucked into the bushes or someplace else.
Cats catching steady meals are not gobblers - they are grazers.
Upper right is Bristol. This morning when I rolled up the garage door to catch my gear for patching the deck she was laid up in the huge cardboard box with a great folded-up comforter for a bed that she liked in the fall. I told her to "stay" (as if a cat ever listens) and she just watched me get my gear for the deck diddling. She won't ever let me pet her or get near her but she does understand that I'm not a threat to her. Strange girl cat is Bristol.
