This strange padded furniture/table/seat thingy has been up against the front windows of the master bedroom for a few decades now with three legs and a busted-off fourth leg that never did much. The bride of 45 years has never nagged me about anything. The beauty of the deal is that when she's angry with me she won't talk to me and that keeps arguments few and far between. She asked me a few weeks ago if I could get that fourth leg back on and I said I could.

I blew out a 3/8ths hole with my drill up and down to set in a dowel for a joint and then laid in some monster glue before tapping everything down for the glue set. Gravity is a beautiful thing so I set the thingy on its legs to catch some help from its weight to set the glue.



And that's when the tomcat Trouble jumped on it to let out cat noises. Somebody (me) had been *&$#ing with his living room territory and he didn't like the deal. Things can go wrong when you're trying to make a home repair but cat interference is something you don't expect. I think the glue set and repair went well but I'll know better in the morning.

Meanwhile, the huge tom was still touching base with the living room Wednesday night close by the padded furniture/table/seat thingy. I still have no idea what its proper name is.

He's a cat.
