The wife purchased a nice piece of beef last week on super sale and did it up splendidly for us last Sunday with a bunch of sides and my favorite "pan roasted" potatoes done up browned. It was great and so were the leftovers as a hot hero sandwich. And the leftover roast beef was tremendous for cold sandwiches. And also great for "hot open" roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes and peas and gravy.

So what's the beef over the beef? We still had leftovers and I think the bride bought a biggie with some cats in mind. Today she made sauce from scratch and worked up the meatballs & sausages for another great feed coming. I have to bring home Italian bread home ShopRite on Friday morning.

The left over roast beef? Well, she sliced and diced while I was fumbling my finances at Belmont Park and almost two pounds of roast beef made its way into the stainless steel Great Dane feed dish. It went out as part of the Thursday night cat dinner all warmed up and doused in warmed water. It was very popular with the cats. Cats like medium rare roast beef.

Bellies were sagging all loaded up with roast beef but they eat the cat food as well.
