My home has heat but cats love the sun. Why? Most cats are lactose intolerant and just like humans can catch some Vitamin D from sunlight. They need it and I have seen the cats outside perching in the sun on the cat condos when the temperature is ten degrees.

The back of my home faces south and in late February and into March the sun can light up the bathroom from late morning to early afternoon. The momcat Mister Mittens and her daughter Shiloh often flop there to catch some sun. The tom Trouble lays out on the kitchen table.
