Garfield was looking hale and hearty when I was bringing out some dinner.

Catty Patty, Nasty Mom, Bosco and Garfield got into some great food while Midnight (the shy "new guy black cat") and the beloved Ginger were nearby.

Dinner was Purina Cat Chow, a large bowl of warm water, three cans of 9Lives wet food and a large amount of very warm soup in the huge stainless steel "big dog" feed dish made up of canned chicken, sardines and Friskies wet cat food. It's cat fuel and as long as the outside cats remain disease-free and alive I feed them well and keep them bulked up with lots of calories to withstand the winter. They have shelter and beds in the garage and cat condos to stay dry and safe for sleep and rest. Caring for cats is my calling as an old decrepit fart.

The runt kitten girl Catty Patty still amazes me. I figured she would have a tough time getting by her first winter. But now at the age of four she has filled out to be a robust cat and very strong.

She quite often "flop drops" when I bring food out and squeals and mews with delight when I rub up her back and belly. She knows me a little bit.
