There are four more feral cats on the planet. The cat who adopted us had them last night with my bride in attendance as midwife. The birthing took place next to my front stoop.

New Moms need plenty of water and food to keep going and producing milk so I went outside a little while ago with everything. I explained to Kitty that I had to get near her kittens to bring her stuff and that if she hissed, bit, or clawed me this whole deal was going to end badly.

I am happy to report that the cat stayed her same old gentle self and appreciated breakfast in bed.

The afternoon sun today is going to cook Mom and ker kittens in 100-degree heat so I'm trying to figure out a way to move them to the garage where at least they'll have shade and a roof over their heads.

Let's just say I got the kittens moved to a clean blanket in the garage. They all fit neatly in a dustpan for the trip and now they're out of the sun and Mom has plenty of food and water in a safe place.

So far I have them named First Hump, Last Hump, No Hump and Dustpan.

You, the bride, and John are good to take care of her. And now, her babies. Pretty little things. This is not something everyone would bother to do, QP.

All of you try and stay cool today. I know its brutal there, just as it is here.

You, your wife, and your son are to be congratulated for your caring in an often cruel world. Great job!

I'm sure she is waiting for some cold beer in a cup. Give it up QP  She will think she died and went to heaven in there. 8-) 8-)

I know a rescue that might take them and try to adopt them out if you run out of options.

That is so nice of you to care for the cat..who looks like she is a young cat.

The nicest thing you could do for the teenage mama kitty is to have her spayed. If not the poor cat will spend her life pregnant and having more, sweet, unwanted kittens.

I am NO Peta devotee, but it is just common sense to spay feral female cats...
