I took a few pix today. What amazed me a bit is that Trouble and Shiloh will still get into the cat bed that they were in at a day old with two other kittens and their mother. It's like they know it's a sacred place:

Mister Mittens knows how to nap on my wife's bed:

Shiloh caught some time on the Castro upstairs:

When Shiloh took off to be a cat and run around the house her brother Trouble jumped into the "warm spot" on the Castro:

It's true. Trouble looks like somebody good as an artist grabbed him before he was born and painted him with magnificent stripes that are symmetrical all over his body. Even the lines off the top of his head fan out beautifully and the brown lines across his muzzle match from both sides.

I thought he was just just a striped "mutt cat" from a feline street whore until Dr. Wallach told me that his markings were amazing. What did I know about a slut cat and her kittens except that I wanted to keep them alive? I had dogs all my life.

Nonetheless, all three cats are loved equally at my house.

Once in an environment they know well cats can sleep with their ears perked. They will rest while a small part of their brain stays tuned for a sound that might signal danger. If they crash with music going on or loud talk or races going on they will tune that out as normal. Nothing will wake them up.

One dog bark nearby will have them up on all fours fully alert and ready to fight or flee in a heartbeat.

BL, the epitome of peaceful sleep is my wife in bed with three cats tucked along her body and everybody is snoring and happy.

Jeez, I keep begging the bride to stop hating the cats but it's not working.

Nah, I think she loves them more than I do.
