Mister Mittens has been crying for the last few days and lifting her tail to her son.
Thankfully, her son Trouble has been raised as a good Irish Catholic tomcat and is not interested. But that's only because he's too young (close but too young).
At 9 a.m next Monday Mister Mittens is scheduled to be spayed by Dr. Wallach.

A female cat is a pain in the ass when Mother Nature calls on her to breed. The strange behavior and the crying and the pacing is truly enough to drive you nuts.

Yes you did, arrow, and I stand corrected.
The Momcat is slurking around the house crying out for "male attention" for every moment she's not eating or sleeping. If her son was mature enough to nail her she would let him.
When she's on her haunches and making strange noises I'll pet her but that only makes her lift her tail and raise her ass.
Jeez, she driving everybody here nuts.

The little girl, Sweet Little Shiloh, rarely sleeps away from her brother Trouble or her mother Mister Mittens. Shiloh is not sexually mature yet but has been watching her sex-crazed mother for the past few days and the strange behavior of her tomcat brother. Her mother keeps bothering Trouble for sex and Trouble keeps sniffing and wrestling with his mom but has not gotten to the point of wanting to be a father. The Momcat goes for her ovariohysterectomy in five days. Trouble gets his BBs removed from his Daisy Red Ryder rifle shortly thereafter. In the meantime, little Shiloh came upstairs after dinner this evening and for the first time ever jumped into my old stinky bed to go to sleep all alone and be away from her mom and brother. She's done with teenaged boys and crazy women.

It truly is mating season as all the tomcats in the neighborhood have taken to chasing the poor gals all day and night leaving them just absolutely flustered and seeking refuge from all their advances.
