After searching the house from top to bottom again for her mother little Shiloh has been perched in the man cave since the sun came up staring at the street. Hopefully we'll have a joyful reunion in a few hours when I bring Mister Mittens home from the animal hospital.

She's home! The first thing she did was race upstairs to her favorite litter box and then race down to her feed dish where she gobbled down some whitefish and tuna in a special sauce from Preferred Pet. Dr. Wallach told us to let her do whatever she wants to do. She's all sewed up on the inside with sutures that will dissolve and she's glued shut on the outside. Her blood work came back negative for feline leukemia and all the other stuff. Shiloh is concerned about her Mom's new bald belly and wound. Mister Mittens is happy to be home with her kids and the humans she owns.

Mister Mittens was gentle and loving when her daughter Shiloh came by to sniff her new wound but when her son Trouble came by to do the same it was a different story. In this photo Mom has just swatted her son's face for sniffing around her lower quarters. Those eyes are set just like the "green daggers" my wife gives me when I misbehave. And when he didn't back off she bit his ear.

"C'mon, M&M, you were wailing and everything . . . . you wanted me 48 hours ago, what's wrong now? "I do somethin' turn you off?" Poor fella. Trouble's in a state now, he don't understand women. He's confused, like a lot of men. LOLOLOLOL

I've been watching the cat story closer than the parade of longshots at Philly today, very happy that Mr Mittens is home with her kids.

It's after 5 p.m. as I write this and Mom has been on a comforter under my desk for more than 6 hours now. I think she's just tired and sore since she's in good spirits when I pet her and she ate some of the dinner I brought her. She thought about jumping into bed earlier today but thought better of it and when I tried to pick her up to get her onto the bed she squealed in pain. Her son Trouble just came by to visit and he's been very gentle. He's giving his Mom all the space she needs.

aw.. She'll be A-Ok in a day or two. The adreneline was flowing when Mr Mittens realized she was home. Now, the ache of her surgery probably is bothering her. Did the Doc recommend any pain medication for Mr Mittens? 1/2 an aspirin? Do any of your cat books mention anything? It is much healthier for the cat to be altered. ..and easier on her human family. You won't have to worry about Mr Mittens escaping to the "wilds of Queens" everytime you open the door. Trouble's operation is simplier...like a vasectomy for a human.
