Two days after being spayed Mister Mittens is more active today. She's out from under my desk and was easily able to leap onto the Castro and flop onto her favorite comforter. She's on her feed and that's a good sign. Both of her kids know that she's been through some type of trauma and they have not been asking her to play or roughhouse with them. They just visit with her and give her a lick or two before clearing out to let her rest. Cats are brighter than we think.

What a sweet, sweet picture. Mr. Mittens looks really relaxed and content!

Kudos  to the "Poles"

Wooley, I'm just thrilled she's not outdoors for another winter as a street cat. If my son John had not befriended her in the fall of 2009 when she was still a kitten herself I don't think she'd be alive today. She always trusted John despite being feral. Then in July when she went into labor she decided to build her birthing nest next to my front stoop. I knew she couldn't properly defend her kittens there so that's when we decided to let Mister Mittens own us. No regerets no how. We love those cats and they have the run of the entire house 24/7.
