That little girl cat used to race up to my son for a handout and a petting. He was always so kind to her and she trusted him despite running the streets. I snapped a photo or two when the Momcat was very young.



In the spring of 2010 we knew the little girl cat had survived a hard winter.



Knocked up and giving birth in July we took her in but there's something to see with her and my son.

This afternoon John went to pet her in a cat bed and she wanted to be left alone to sleep. She laid on her side and when John came along her she kicked with one back leg and started to go with swats with her front paws, but very gently. She never laid out a claw and when she went to bite him she never landed a tooth. Instead she just laid back down and got petted. The "street cat" in Mister Mittens knows well the kindness of my son and she loves him in her own cat way.
