There are no old fat men from WWII or Korea at the American Legion bar. I could probably drop dead in a moment but I'm at 182 pounds after being 205 when I got out of the Marine Corps 42 years ago when I was 21 . I'm worried about Mister Mittens.

This is the feral cat Mister Mittens last spring when about the time she became pregnant.

This is Mister Mittens now.

A good fat bed is nice but a good fat belly can kill you if given enough time.

You know what Arrow said...substituting food for freedom lost....forgot life on street was tough.

Wooley, the real pissoff is when she plays "lover" before dawn and strokes my face in bed with a smooth paw (claws in). And then when I pet her she's happier than a two-dollar hooker that just caught a twenty. She rubs her head along the side of my face and purrs with joy.

After breakfast she doesn't want to know you until she's hungry again.

Nah, most of the time she will tolerate you. She has never bitten or clawed me with vicious intent. She lays back and lets you pet her but she sometimes puts a front leg up with the claws coming out but she doesn't strike.

Sometimes Mister Mittens will grab your petting hand and pull it in with her two front paws. She'll bite a bit easily with no intention to break your skin or draw blood. And then she'll lick your hand.

There's still some "street cat" in the Momcat.

Ya know 1/4 pole...looking at your deck...you could fence the entire deck and make it escape proof for the cats.

The deck is raised and has a nice wood floor. The cats would love the outside. They would stay clean and bug free...just like people on the deck

The cats would catch something from the people that hang out on that deck.

Wouldn't want THAT to happen to the cats!
