The momcat Mister Mittens might be two years of age now but she was born in the street and made her living on the street and got pregnant on the street. Yup, she's been "fixed" and her uterus and ovaries are gone but she still catches a grand desire to be outside and often sits at a window staring at the fences she used to leap. She won't let you pick her up or pet her without glaring at you but her bites never break the skin and sometimes she will just flop in your lap and go to sleep while you pet her. But you just know she's tolerating you - she still has a lot of "feral" within her.

At the other end of the spectrum is the tomcat Trouble. He was born in the dirt next to my front stoop and then sheltered shortly thereafter. He was in my garage for two days but when the temps hit 100 outside and 110+ in the garage he became a house cat.

Jeez, after almost four decades I can say that I used to be in bed waiting for my wife but I suppose the torch has been passed.

Nobody here ever better stop laughing.
