I was up at dawn this morning to run my son John to LaGuardia Airport to catch an early flight to Akron so that he could see his kids and work out a court deal for visitation rights. All I ever did was stay with the same girl for 38 years so far and keep the lust within bounds when I was young. That simple action keeps you from having children all over the map.

Anyway, at 5 a.m. I had to grab the camera. Dawn was breaking and the birds were chirping. Trouble and Shiloh were perched at a dormer window up in the dirty filthy man cave and they were focused on some type of a living creature outside.

The Mr Mittens' family sure love their windowperches...guard cats..nothing escape their notice.

Shiloh has filled out some with good food but she still has the small head and tiny features. She walks like her mother and moves like her mother but she's very gentle.

The scary thing about gentle cats is when they stretch during a nap. The front paws go out and become twice their size and more as the razor claws come out.

You can spread a Pick 3 play but nothing spreads like those small padded cat paws when the claws come out.

Jeez, Mom Nature gave them some defensive gear. And some "grab gear" too.
