I remember seeing the old Spanish American War vets firing a volley on Memorial Day (Decoration Day back then) when I was a kid at Kennedy Park in Hempstead, New York a long time ago but the American Flag caught my eye then and still does. I served in the Marine Corps for a bad war under both a Democrat and Republican president ("Great Society" Johnson and "Tricky Dick" Nixon) but my loyalty was always to my flag and nation.
I had just had to snap this shot of the National Ensign from the man cave today.
