I still can't make good peppers grow. They are just small. The zucchini went nuts again and I have a single plant out back that has already put out more than 50 pounds of big green mummies. The eggplant are late bloomers and doing OK. The cherry tomatoes are super. The beefsteak tomatoes and some other style I forget have exploded outside in early August. This is part of this morning's harvest. No chemicals, no horse shit, no bug spray - just good Long Island dirt and water.

If you buy tomatoes during summer and have a patch of dirt at home you should be shot. These things are nothing like the lab tomatoes in the stores.

my tomatoes are getting sqiushy,is their a way to prevent this.they look good from the top but the bottom gets soft and bad sometimes,am i waiting to long to pick them?

As soon as they bgin to turn orange you can bring them inside and let them ripen on a window sill.
