A cat spends a lot of time cleaning itself. They go into contortions to lick every part of their body they can reach. They cannot lick their own head or neck or ears or shoulders so if in a family unit like my three are they will play fight and kick the hell out of one another and then match up to lick each other's head and shoulders with a love and concern that is simply unbelievable. They take turns cleaning each other in "cat parts" that the owner cannot reach.

Here I catch Shiloh (Sweet Babycakes) contorting herself to clean her lower belly with vigor. I'm telling you - watching cats live their lives around this house is an amazing thing to see.
