That's the momcat Mister Mittens in the background with her daughter Shiloh (Sweet Babycakes) visiting her in bed for grooming. The momcat is mostly dark on her back and along her sides and head and that's what probably kept her away from predators when she was a street cat. One time last spring she was "sphinx" in a bush out back looking for something to go by for a meal and I never saw her.



Later in the afternoon Sweet Babycakes crashed upon my recliner while I was getting my ass kicked at Saratoga nearby. Little Shiloh is a wonderful girl. When she lays out and you pet her she will fire out all her claws and then sigh while loving the attention. But she's "all cat" - that girl is tough as nails when her huge brother comes around to rough her up in play. And no cat in my house is faster doing stairs.
